Dr. Joseph F. Francois, Managing Director of TRADE PARTNERSHIP WORLDWIDE, LLC, specializes in assessing the economic effects of trade policies and actions. These include bilateral and multilateral trade liberalization, the imposition of antidumping or countervailing duty orders, or quotas and tariffs resulting, for example, from a safeguard action. He authored the U.S. International Trade Commission’s COMPAS model during his tenure at the ITC’s Office of Economics, and directed the modeling team at the GATT/WTO during the Uruguay Round. Francois models the economic effects of pending trade agreements, and the impacts on all sectors of an economy of various trade actions or programs. Francois holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland (1988). He can be reached by contacting THE TRADE PARTNERSHIP at 202-347-1041.
