A Quantification of the Economic Effects of the February 2008 Draft NAMA Text: Summary of Results. A Trade Partnership Worldwide study released May 16, 2008 by the German Marshall Fund of the United States finds that the latest draft of the non-agricultural market access -- NAMA -- modalities text would cut industrial tariffs substantially in the OECD, while largely shielding the developing world from any obligation to do so. Because applied tariffs in developing countries are not projected to change, the proposed NAMA agreement will have very little impact on the trade or incomes of most WTO Members.
